February 2016 Rochdale Volunteer Day

What a great day we had on the Rochdale Canal! Sixteen volunteers came out, which means we got lots done, and even finished early!

We picked up loads of litter and needles, cut back some vegetation that was getting a bit scraggly, planted lots of tulip and daffodil bulbs (which might come up later this year but if not, hopefully next year) and mulched around our cherry trees, which are all still nicely in tact.

Thanks as always to Vivid Manchester for donating some delicious soup and sandwiches. And thanks to all of the first timers who came out. It was great to see some new faces (and of course the ‘old’ ones as well!)
